Beginners’ Creative Writing Class
Act the Maggot’s six week Beginners’ Creative Writing Class is widely considered one of the best creative writing courses in Dublin and this is something we are very proud of! Our facilitator Niall McArdle is an award-winning writer himself and takes great pleasure running this course. We run creative writing for seasoned writers and writers’ workshops for people who are starting out and would like to hone their skills as a new author. Niall will guide you through the process of ‘how to write a short story’ and ‘how to write a book’.
Act the Maggot’s philosophy is Confidence, Creativity and Communication. Based in Dublin, the Beginners’ Creative Writing Class will not only teach you to write a short story but will give you the confidence to develop and explore your ideas in a fun group environment.
Participants of the Beginners’ Creative Writing class will:
- Learn how to develop your creative writing ideas
- The structure of how to write good dialogue
- How to develop characters
- How to write a short story
- Peer feedback and tutorage
- Meet new people
